Money, Materialism and God !

 

The textbook idea of modern man might amuse you- it is an idea that can be obsessive and compulsive for many nations, historical revolutionaries and it can be sedative for the collective consciousness of millions of men dreaming to be liberated, sovereign and independent rational man making his political, religious, economic and personal choices without fear and intimidation. This is the defense mechanism of centuries old man, who was trapped in chains of religious clergy, feudal, priests, kings, and any possible conceivable indoctrination of man is not acceptable to him anymore, because the modern man is civilized man, with his own notion of consciousness and modern man is scientific man, who is not fixated to any emotion such as sacred experience and then, he decides to disassociate himself from ancient wisdom of classical man. 

So, the modernity project- the crux of renaissance - was creation of new being that puts himself at 'Centre' instead of any 'god, idol or a deity' - the modern will make the decisions that are truly selfish in nature. That will address his yearnings and urges, and the society we have created has been instrumental in feeding our yearnings and urges, in the form of dopamine rush- The digital space, the food engineering, the cinema and tinder sort of culture has facilitated us with our yearning and urges. 

The pre-social media culture was beautiful because we could sit down and ponder for hours, we could speak for hours, we could observe nature, take sun bath, go for long walks, take long baths, and sleep peacefully. This disconnection with nature- I'd say this intentional, criminal and vulgar attempt to put humans in their small flats has done something strange to us: We are no longer who we were. 

Individualism is just not political, it is anti-spiritual movement that has obsessed man in his own figment of imagination which is not even part of creative process, it is childish, it is useless and it's a killing time machine, that sucks life constantly. You spend hours and hours into this dungeon, and next moment you don't even remember what you were doing. This culture has made us zombies- politically, in our public and private lives, mentally and cognitively, temperament wise and there's this surge of impatience, exhaustion and fatigue. It certainly do not make us healthy. It is anti-life. 

The modern man doesn't seek anything. The higher dimension. When God is not your higher dimension, and you're approaching empty space of triviality and nonsense, then there's this meme-culture, singers like Chahat Ali Khan, nonsensical vocabulary, vulgar fashion, attention seeking, dramatic political leaders and their cult like followers - the world doesn't make sense anymore because we have made God irrelevant in our lives. 

The God's search is not only in the temple or mosque, but also part of our creative process. It is protective shield that saves us from insanity. That gives perspective- the right perspective to carry on life. The ultimate balancing equilibrium is God. The balance takes place mentally first, in the figment of your imagination, in the deeper waves of your sleeping cycle, in the coherence of your thoughts, and in your tone and words. That person never goes insane. That person never does violence. The religious practice of act of praying was invented by human beings for that. 

I often ask my friends, what does money really provide us- Let's compare my life with Elon Musk, the billionaire. 

What does he eat that I can't? How many friends does he has? How longer will he live than me? - The other comparisions are imaginary, like the size of his house, his cars, his traveling habits.

If I'd live the life of Elon Musk, and he would live mine, I think He'd be more comfortable in my life than I would in his. 

The idea of accumulation is only imaginary. Man in real sense cannot accumulate anything. We cannot eat more, We cannot sleep more, We cannot have sex more than how much is required, we cannot travel more, there is no 'wow factor' in life. The only wow factor lies in conceiving the higher dimension. How gently do we love, how memorable we are, how did we build connections, what good did we do even when we didn't had any material thing.

You see, we as humans don't need much to happy. What does a three-year child want? - The playing part is very much like praying. I observe my three-year son when he is playing. He is so consumed into the process, He is curious, excited, happy and he allows himself to be surprised at what the moment throws at him. Isn't it like praying? When we as adult are looking forward to Allah to be surprised, We all do our calculations, and when Allah satisfy us with our calculations, the perfect imagined scenario or desired situation, thats when we truly know that we as humans are not enough, we are not capable, there is agency which resolves our inconsistencies, incoherence and anxieties. That agency is God. 

Living a life in a chaos can be very painful, nervous experience, exhausting and frustrating. The wow factor is only God, rest is just a temporary amusement. 

Allah says you make your plans, I make mine, if you agree to my plan, I will give you what you desire, but if you don't agree to my plan, I will exhaust you into your plans. So much direct, literal and clear He is to us. Speaking to us like we speak to babies. Yet, we explore, exhaust ourselves, and destroy your health, relationships, and our souls are tired now. we don't even sleep peacefully; we don't have friends. This is your battle; you have to go alone. Stop fighting Allah and make Him as your ally. Be in His team. You will develop a perspective...vision...a divine expression will come to you, you might not decode it in words, but the life will make sense to you. Everything will be crystal clear.
