Nation of Dwarfs!
(It's fictional story)
Two friends brought up by river nile. The name of river was given by their ancestors as it is the national heritage and national asset. There was city there where some dead mounts were buried. The both friends played together as long as they could remember, all their childhood and teenage years. They remember national festivals and celebration songs for their river. Some religions in their country would also worship the river. The fish of the river was very expensive, they had huge market for the unique and precious fish. Some people believed that the fish could heal any person with any disease. The whole civilization belong to the Nile River.
Both of these friends were nationalists, they decided to do degree in history to understand the footprint of their mighty river that gave them life.
And after years of Study, they both got their PhD in history of the mighty river of their land. People thought its fascinating to talk about tale. They would talk about the wars and martyrs of those who lost their life protecting the mighty river. Mothers would name their sons with the name of martyrs who demonstrated extraordinary courage and bravery to save the holy river.
One of the friend got a chance to move out of the country and he got a chance to see the beautiful rivers of the world. He was shocked completely. The notion of river he know was completely different than he's seeing now. It's fresh water, he could see tiny bubbles. He never saw those tiny bubbles on river at his hometown. He donot see any worshipper for the river he is observing now abroad. That's very shocking for him, such disinterest in the Holy river by the native citizens and no one is singing songs for the river. There's no fish that could treat the sick. Yet, this is real beauty and extraordinary sight for him.
He sang his national song for the admiration of the river and the people around him gather and ask him where do you learn this?
He talks about his hometown and majestic river and the beautiful tales associated with the river nile.
The distant stranger laughs loudly and tells him it's not a river, its sewage of their city.
It's not a river. It's not something to celebrate. Your civilisation is a lie. Your sense of beauty is low. Your poetry is vulgar. Your tales of bravery come from false sense of patriotism and your religious discourse is vulgar and its manifestations are based on violence. You don't know truth and all your life is nothing but a lie.
The guy sings to the river and confesses that he was living a lie.
"A mask I wear, a facade so bright
Concealing truths, and a heart in flight
From the world outside, I hide my face
Afraid to show, my true, vulnerable place
With every step, I feel the weight
Of secrets kept, and a life that's fake
The fear of being found out, it gnaws
A constant stress, that never pauses
But still I pretend, I put on a show
Hoping no one sees, the emptiness I know
The lie I live, it eats away at me
A heavy burden, that I can't break free
Longing to be, my authentic self
To shed the lies, and find my true wealth
To live a life, that's honest and true
And find the courage, to be me, anew."
